Farms that lost over 30 percent of their output to fires between 1 May and 15 October can claim grants covering all of the first 10,000 euros of repairs. The new list covers parishes in about 175 municipalities, and applications close on 15 January.
The Air Force's UH-60 Black Hawks took part in 56 firefighting missions this year, flying more than 200 hours and making over 900 water drops. The Defence Minister expects two C-130s with firefighting kits in 2027 and Canadair water bombers in 2029 and 2030.

A direct award under the Public Contracts Code's urgency clause buys one light helicopter from 1 October to 30 November for up to 407,799.82 euros plus VAT. Its start was first planned for the summer of 2025.
