Savings Certificate Demand Runs So Far Above Forecast That the State Widens Its 2026 Issuance Cap by 60 Percent, to 16 Billion Euros
A Finance Ministry order published on 23 October lifts this year's cap on savings and Treasury certificates from 10 billion to 16 billion euros and cuts planned bond and bill issuance. The savings certificate stock hit 45.39 billion euros in September.
