Decreto Regulamentar Regional 16/2026/M froze ten categories of act inside a marked area of São Martinho from Saturday, down to repainting a wall. Article 52 of Lei 31/2014 gives owners a right to compensation, and the freeze runs to 29 August 2028.

A Portuguese Home Loan Adds Between €23 and €70 in September, the Steepest Single Reset Since Late 2023

On a €150,000 loan over 30 years at a 1 percent spread, the three-month reset adds €23.21, the six-month €46.95 and the twelve-month €70. The European Central Bank meets on 10 September, and markets are already pricing a second rise on 17 December.

Luísa Salgueiro says the council is fronting money that belongs to central government. The loan goes before the executive on Wednesday, funds 500 homes on municipal land including one development reserved for under-35s, and also pays for seven estates totalling 1,173 dwellings left out of the PRR.

A Student Room in Lisbon Went From €500 to €550 in a Week, and the State's Own Reference Value Stops at €500

Supply grew by 942 rooms in the capital and prices rose anyway, by about 10 percent in under a week. Portaria n.º 331-B/2026/1 says the state will cover €500 in Lisbon and €419 in Porto. The market is now above both.

Portugal's Median Home Appraisal Climbs to €2,240 a Square Metre, but the Yearly Pace Slows From 16.6 to 15.2 Percent

INE counted 34,053 appraisals in July. Apartments reached €2,627 a square metre and houses €1,606, with the Setubal peninsula up 20.4 percent on the year and no region falling. Grande Lisboa sits 51.7 percent above the national median.
