Portugal's Household Saving Rate Slips to 12.1 Percent as Spending Outpaces Income and Household Debt Tops 187 Billion Euros
On World Savings Day, official data show households in Portugal saving 12.1 percent of their income, down from 12.4 percent, as spending grows faster than pay. Deposits stand at 200.5 billion euros, while household debt has reached 187.1 billion.
