Portuguese airports handled 7.9 million passengers in August, up 2.0 percent, INE says. Porto grew 7.1 percent over eight months against 0.8 percent at Lisbon, and Spain overtook France as the second country of origin and destination.
Every candidate that made a non-binding offer goes through to the binding round for at least 75 percent of the airline. Names come only in December, about three weeks before the EU deadline of 31 December 2026 to sell a controlling stake.
