INE's May Flash Reading Holds Portuguese Inflation at 3.3% YoY With Energy at 13.2%
INE's preliminary CPI estimate for May, published Friday 29 May, keeps homologous inflation at 3.3% — identical to April. The flash details show energy products lifting to 13.2% YoY versus 11.7% in April, with the ISP fuel-discount step from 1 June set to keep that line elevated. Vista Alegre Atlantis Shareholders Approve Euronext Lisbon Delisting at €1.07 a Share
VAA shareholders voted at the Friday 29 May general assembly to remove the porcelain group's shares from Euronext Lisbon's regulated market. Visabeira and aligned holders went in with 84.76% of capital, with the free float already residual at 5.24%. The cash-out offer to minorities is €1.07 a share, subject to a CMVM-appointed expert review. Cristiano Ronaldo's CR7 SA — 10% holder since 2024 — sits inside the controlling block.
INE Q1 2026 Remuneração Bruta Climbs 5% to €1,611 With Agriculture Leading at +10%
INE's Q1 2026 quarterly remuneration destaque puts the average gross monthly pay at €1,611, up 5.0% nominally and 2.7% in real terms. The regular component lifted 5.1% to €1,428, and the base component climbed 5.1% to €1,335. Agriculture leads the sector tape with +10% YoY; construction follows at +7%. The electricity sector remains the ceiling at €3,206 a month. The public-private gap stays at €620.
IGCP Closes €3 Billion 20-Year Syndicated Bond at 3.875% on an 18× Order Book
The IGCP priced a €3 billion 20-year syndicated Obrigação do Tesouro on Wednesday 28 May at a 3.875% coupon, maturing 15 June 2046. The order book closed near €56.5 billion — 18× the deal size. The transaction takes the Republic's 2026 funding programme to roughly 60% completion against the €24 billion target. The Portuguese 20-year now clears modestly above the May 12-year auction high but inside what Italy's recent 20-year cleared.

Turismo de Portugal launched the 2026 domestic tourism campaign — 'Não procures mais longe. Encontra o teu país' — from Castelo de Porto de Mós on 19 May.
